Motivated by his love for the environment he travelled trails and mountains. Here he found his characteristic style focusing on the inherent and authentic, capturing people, their souls, their stories and materializing them in portraits and unique works of art. Thus reveals the purity of creation, simple and natural.
Since 2013, he participated in several photo contests, such as the “HCB Photography Award – Henri Cartier-Bresson”. Later he received 2nd place in the contest organized by CCN “Discover Puerto Plata, Pride of my Land”. Years later he received a recognition with two of his works in the “IX Black and White Photography Contest, Natalio Puras (Apeco)” and one of the compositions managed to position itself among the 25 finalists in the “HIPA 2014” in Dubai.
His photographs have illustrated several covers of the magazine “Revista Ciudad Corazón “, and others are in a book from the prestigious American publisher Rodale.
Today Santiago Morel is an artist with a realistic and humanistic vision that appreciates magical and unrepeatable moments of life.
